Cabin Makeover Project: Bedroom Design Reveal

Yay, it's reveal day number 1 at our long-awaited cabin project in Wisconsin. Today, I'm sharing all the design plans and final images of the two bedrooms.

Looking at last week's post, you'll see that these bedrooms are not large, each only measuring roughly 90 sq ft. They're cozy and efficient and intended to be a place of rest after a long day on the lake. Bedroom number one houses a full-size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin beds; both also have dressers to act as storage in place of a built-in closet. When designing the whole cabin, the intent was to keep the main space (reveal to come next week) light and bright and allow the bedrooms to be more layered, warm, and earthy, each with their own personality.

In bedroom one, we landed on a more masculine design by leaning into a woodsy color palette featuring dark wood, black, and cognac.

Bedroom number two's design also calls on nature but in a more feminine floral way with the art, small-scale prints, and light wood detailing. In the end, both rooms match the cabin's easy living and layered aesthetic but have their own distinct styles, which I love.

Stay tunded for next week's post when I'll be sharing the main living space of the cabin.

XOXO,

-L
